Bank of Maldives Internet Banking Login


Bank of Maldives PLC is a National Bank of Maldives owned by Government of Maldives and her people who have stake in its shares. It offers a wide range of financial services and its branches and ATMs are spread across the country at different atolls. The bank is headquartered at Male the Capital city of Republic of Maldives.

Internet Banking or eBanking is offered by the bank which allows the customers to manage their account online. Internet Banking is available to personal banking customers as well as business banking customers. When you login (sign in) to your account from the bank website your confidential information are sent using the VeriSign secure SSL which offers high level of security. For using the internet banking a customer must be registered for online banking. When you sign up for ebanking you are provided provided with User ID, Password and Security Code. Password & Security is an alphanumeric code and it can be changed by the customer. 

You must keep it confidential and should never share it with anyone. General or Standard Plan customers using internet banking are required to login with User ID, Security Code & Password while Premium users are provided with an extra layer of security and are required to use the 4 digit Pin & Token code for every login. Token code is used with Token Pin provided by the bank. Security Token Code is a random authentication code generated by a small physical device (Hardware) provided by bank which can be easily carried in purse or pocket. Premium plan user are required to use this security token code in conjuction with Token Pin for additional security. Security Token Code generated is to be used with in 30 seconds. If you do not use it within this time then this code become invalid and you have to generate another code for accessing your account.

Customers must educate themselves to avoid phishing and online fraud. Customers must adhere to the security guideline and tips available on the bank website. For transmission of data from your computer to Bank of Maldives PLC 128 bit SSL encryptions is used to protect your confidential information. If your login session at the bank website is inactive for more than 5 minutes then you are automatically signed out of your internet banking accout as a security measure. While using online banking service bank takes necessary steps to protect your confidential information getting into wrong hands but customer must be aware about his/her role while using the ebanking. Standard Plan vs Premium Plan

Bank offers two types of plan i.e. (i) Standard Plan & (ii) Premium Plan. Standard Plan is aimed at individual customers while premium plan for business owners. Premium Plan offers additional service but there are hefty fee for it. For using Standard Plan & Premium Plan you have to pay Rf. 180/- & Rf. 1800/- per annum. For latest fee and other charges you must refer the bank website. You should choose the right plan considering your requirement. Once you sign up for a plan you can not change it. Daily transaction limit for Standard Plan in Rf. 10000/- and you can not make third party payment. Other advantage of using the premium plan is additional security (Security Token & PIN) and higher transaction limit, you can also make third party payment and have multiple nominee for using internet banking with transaction limit set by you.



Registration & Login

Existing users of Bank of Maldives can register for Internet Banking service. For registration you need to fill up Internet Banking Access Authority Form and submit it in any of the branch.
